This page explains how NYSAIC LLC uses information to operate nysaic.org, including membership, the member directory, email updates, and Regents Prep. For privacy questions or requests, email info@nysaic.org.

Your account and Google sign-in

When you create an account, we store your name, email address, organization if supplied, membership status, and email preferences. We use this information to identify your account, review membership, provide access, and communicate with you. Existing member records and profiles were brought over from the previous NYSAIC website.

If you choose Continue with Google, Google provides basic account information, including your email address and name, and may provide your profile picture. NYSAIC uses this connection to identify you and sign you in. Google sign-in does not give NYSAIC access to your Google password, Gmail messages, Drive files, or calendar.

Your member profile

Approved members can see active profiles in the member directory. A profile can include a name, organization, role, location, photo, biography, interests, links, and contact details. Your account email is not automatically shown in the directory; a contact email you add to your directory profile is shown there.

You can edit your directory profile and choose whether it appears in the directory. Administrators can review and manage membership and profiles. The site may match an organization name and email domain to a school or district and display its name or logo.

Email and messages

Joining includes NYSAIC news, resources, and meeting updates. You can change your email preference in My account or use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter. Account confirmation, recovery, and membership-status messages support your account separately from newsletter preferences.

We store subscription preferences and email delivery records to manage sending and honor unsubscribes. NYSAIC sends newsletters and membership messages through Google using info@nysaic.org. Contact-form messages include the name, email, organization, and message you provide and are delivered to that mailbox.

Hosting, sign-in storage, and service providers

Netlify hosts this website and provides its account authentication and data storage. Google provides the optional Google sign-in service and NYSAIC email delivery. These providers process information needed to deliver those services.

Your appearance choice (Auto, Light, or Dark) is saved in this browser. Auto uses your device’s local time; it does not request your location. The site uses cookies and browser storage to maintain and renew your sign-in. Signing out ends your active session in that browser. Hosting and authentication services receive technical information such as your IP address and browser requests. The contact form uses a protected digest of your IP address and submission times to limit repeated messages.

We use Netlify’s server-side web analytics to understand pageviews, approximate visitor counts, countries, and referral sources. These reports come from hosting requests; the site does not add analytics cookies or a tracking script. The reports are separate from member profiles and do not include Regents practice answers.

Resources and profile links may open other websites. Those services handle information under their own privacy practices. Information you submit as a resource can be reviewed by NYSAIC and, when approved, shared in the member resource collection.

Regents Prep

Regents Prep does not require an account. Practice answers and written responses stay in the current browser tab and are cleared when you refresh or close it. The practice app does not send those responses to NYSAIC. You can download a copy of your work to your own device.

Updating or removing your information

You can update account details and email preferences in My account, and edit or hide your directory profile. Removing NYSAIC from your Google Account connections stops that Google connection; it does not delete the NYSAIC membership record.

For a copy, correction, or deletion of information beyond the controls on the site, contact info@nysaic.org. Account, imported membership, profile, and email records are stored separately, so deleting a sign-in account alone does not remove every record. NYSAIC can review your request across these records. We have not set one automatic deletion period for all site data.
